The Direct was supposed to concentrate on Animal Crossing Bells the first half of 2021, but they spent a lot of time on games that are not coming out this season at all.

The first-party representation was weak. Where are the Nintendo games? They needed to mention a game that's already published (Super Mario 3D World) just to add cushioning to this Immediate. Skyward Sword is cool and all, but that is only 1 game so far this year, and it'll be a 60 port.

I just don't think of Mario Golf when I think of Nintendo. As far as first-party franchises go, I think that one's fairly weak. I haven't looked at earnings numbers, but that I can not envision it retains a game against Zelda, mainline Mario, Mario Kart, or buy Animal Crossing Items Animal Crossing.
